6 Neuk
Neuk
Bobby Jones coined this hole the “difficult sixth”. The key to scoring on this hole is accuracy on both the drive and second shot. The landing area is narrow and tucked “tightly” between a massive oak grove guarding the right side of the hole and out-of-bounds on the left. The relatively small green complex is among the best at Flossmoor in terms of subtle slopes and challenging cupping areas. Offline approach shots are likely to find one of the five greenside bunkers. A par on this hole is an excellent score.

Fairway
A well placed tee shot is ideal on this hole. Favoring the left side of the fairway will keep you away from the trouble of the Oak grove to the right. Be careful of the out of bounds left however. Precision is a must here.
Bunkers
Avoid the small bunker in the fairway. Although it's a good aiming point for a fade tee shot, it can lead to trouble. The green is surrounded with five deep bunkers that need to be avoided.
Green
Sloping from back to front, this long and slender green offers pin placements that will affect the distance of your second shot. It is paramount on this green to stay below the hole. Plenty of space to hit a bump and run shot or a well placed full iron.
